The Comic-Con Museum is a gallery dedicated to comics and popular arts located in Balboa Park, San Diego, California. It’s part of the San Diego Comic-Con International, the biggest yearly popular arts convention in the world. The building was offered to Comic-Con by the City of San Diego in 2017. Comic-Con Museum amplifies pop culture, having rotating exhibits, galleries, education centers, etc.
On July 1st, 2022, Comic-Con Museum opened a new exhibit—Spider-Man: Beyond Amazing. The exhibition was created by Semmel Exhibitions and Marvel Entertainment dedicated to the character of Spider-Man. It included artifacts from the comics, movies, animation, toys, video games and merchandise from the 1960s to present day. The design of the exhibit was meant to showcase Spider-Man’s appearances with real-world events, the creators, and the history of Spider-Man.
Mary and I toured the museum in July 2022. Here are some photos from that visit.
